He's on the roll!

So yesterday, June 21st, 2011, Jace Cameron Gorsuch rolled over on his own for the very first time. He's only 2 and a half weeks old and he's ready to get up and move! Bryce and I both need him to slow down and not grow up so fast! =)

2 Weeks Old!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 2 weeks old! (well 2 weeks and 2 days!) He is now filling out his body and looking much more chunky. Which is a good thing! He now fits most 3 month clothes but he can still wear his newborn clothes. He is much more alert now and he loves to be talked to and held! Every time I hold him in my arms I just imagine what great and wondrous things he will do in his life. Even at this young, I know my son will be a great person. =)

2 week old doctors appointment

Jace had "that" doctors appointment today. It was by far the worst thing I have ever experienced. Bryce and I waited in the waiting room while Jace was a brave little boy getting it done by himself. We could hear him crying from the waiting room. I had to hold back my tears the whole time. Afterwards, we had his 2 week appointment. The doctor is super happy with him. He is 7 pounds 7.4 ounces. Jace has gained 13 ounces in 10 days which is just great! My baby boy is just amazing. I couldn't ask for a better baby!

One week old.

He's one week old now and he's growing up like crazy! He already tries to roll over and lift his head. His doctor is very happy with how alert he is becoming and how much weight he has gained. My baby boy is perfect. =) I couldn't ask for any better!

Welcome to the World Jace!

Wednesday, June 1st, I started having pretty regular contractions about 10 minutes apart. They didn't all hurt but they were super uncomfortable. This lasted Thursday and Friday. Finally Friday evening I decided to call my doctor and ask what I needed to do because these contractions were driving me crazy! The doctor said to come on down to the hospital so we could figure out what was going on. We got there at 10pm. They checked me out and I was dilated to 3cm. Bryce and I were then told to walk around the labor and delivery area for an hour to see if I could dilate more. Which I did! I was 4cm. We officially got admitted into the hospital at around 2am. After that things slowed down a bit. It took me hours to dilate to a 5 or 6cm. The doctors then gave me 3 options. Go home and wait it out till things progressed more, have my IV hooked up to petocin to speed things along, or have my water broken. I decided to have my water broken that way things would speed up the fastest and I could get the labor over and done with. My water was broken at 3:30pm on Saturday. I got my epidural about an hour later. And at 7:37pm Jace Cameron Gorsuch made his entrance into this world. He weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces (same as his mom when he was born!) and he was 18 3/4 inches long. He could not be more perfect! Bryce and I are the luckiest parents ever!

Waiting for things to speed up!

I was soo hungry!
